A load carrying shell comprises a base part, an ogival nose with an ejection plate and a thin sleeve connecting the base and the nose for housing the load. The nose (12a,12b) is configured for reliable bursting and has a movably mounted rear ejector plate (12b). - There is pref. a propellant charge and for comprssion spring (18b) behind an intermediate floor (18) of the base part. There is pref an ejection charge (17) in the nose actuated by a contact detonator (16).
