COMPOSITE ELECTRODE SUBSTRATE BONDED WITH TEFLON AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To extreamly increase the peel strength in a bonded part by bonding a pair of sealing portions adjacent to peripheries parallel to reaction gas passages to extruding part of a separator via fluorine resin. CONSTITUTION:A separator 1 is larger than an electrode 2 and extruded outward from the periphery of the electrode 2 along the edge pallalel to reaction passages 5 as shown in the figure, and end sealing portions 3 are bonded to the extruded part. The separator 1 and the electrode 2 are bonded with teflon dispersion, and the passages 5 are specified by grooves of the electrode 2 and the separator 1. The extruded periphery of the separator and the end sealing portions are bonded via fluorine resin 4. A composite electrode substrate whose peel strength in the bonded part is excellent can be obtained.
