PURPOSE:To permit energy conservation and formation of a good-quality image by light pressure fixing by specifying the ratio between an amt. to increase a pressure to be exerted and an amt. to decrease a fixable min. temp. CONSTITUTION:The ratio DELTAT/DELTAP of the decreased DELTAT( deg.C) of the fixable min. temp. to the increased DELTAP(Kg/cm<2>) of the fixing pressure of a toner which is fixable to a recording material when applied with a pressure and heat is specified to the value of 1 or above. The blocking resistance during preservation (under application of a low pressure) is thereby improved and the good fixability by the decrease of the fixable temp. is obtainable at the time of fixing (under application of a relatively high pressure).
