<p>A cathode-ray tube has a rectangular faceplate panel sealed to a funnel thereof along an edge of a sidewall of the panel, and has an internal magnetic shield disposed therein proximate an inner surface of the sidewall and extending backward along an inner surface of the funnel. The magnetic shield has at least one opening disposed in at least one corner thereof for allowing dispersal of getter material therethrough and onto the inner surfaces of the sidewall and the funnel adjacent the edge.</p> |
