PURPOSE:To suppress the generation rate of paper wrinkling low even at high humidity by setting the hardness of the heat-resistant elastic body of a pressure roller in a specific value or more. CONSTITUTION:A heat roller fixing device has a heating means 3 at a core part and fixes toner by running copying paper P where unfixed toner T sticks between a heat roller whose surface layer part is coated with 'Teflon(R)' 5 and the pressure roller 2 pressed against the roller 1. The pressure roller 2 is coated with a high-hardness elastic body among heat-resistant elastic bodies 7 of silicone rubber, etc., and the hardness is set to >=65 deg. on a Japanese Industrial Standard A type hardness meter. Consequently, the generation rate of paper wrinkling is suppressed low even in normal one-surface copy mode, in both-surface or composite copy made, and at high environmental humidity. |
