摘要 |
PURPOSE:To form an optical information recording carrier which is pollution- free and has high C/N by applying both of electric field and heat simultaneously to a memory film to polarize the same and to record the information and reproducing the information by a difference in the reflectivities of the polarization and non-polarization of the memory film. CONSTITUTION:Electric field is applied to the memory film 3 and laser light 6 is condensed and projected onto the memory film 3 in the case of recording the information. The memory film 3 (BaTiO3) is then heated near to the Curie temp. and polarizes easily under the low electric field. The polarization arises only in the part spot-heated by the laser light 6 and does not arise in the unheated part; therefore, the information is recorded in the form of the binary coded information of 1 and 0 as the presence and absence of the polarization corresponding to the presence and absence of the spot heating. Recording up to 20MHz is possible. The change ratio R'=R(non-polarization)/R(polarization of the reflectivity R by the state change of the polarization and non-polarization is maximized at about 800Angstrom film thickness and R'=2 is obtd. The C/N as high as C/N=55dB is obtd. at R'=2 in proportion to said change ratio as to the C/N at the time of reproduction. |
