<p>PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the density of storage and the availability factor, by providing a three-dimensional storage rack in the working range of a carrier robot, and by storing and delivering workpieces at predetermined positions which are determined in accordance with values on a counter for counting the cycle numbers of storage and delivery of the workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A count means 15B for counting the cycle numbers of storage and delivery of a workpiece to and from a storage rack 9, delivers the count values to a computing means 10 which computes the storage position of the workpiece to be stored from the count values in accordance with a displacement stored in a memory means 10A, and instructs a drive means 14 such that a carrier robot 5 moves to thus calculated position. When the carrier robot 5 transfers the workpiece to the position, the computing means 10 transmits a count-up signal to the count means 15B to increase the count value. With this arrangement, it is possible to increase the density of storage of workpieces and to enhance the availability factor of the carrier robot.</p> |
