A watergas supply apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided to improve combustion efficiency of the engine by adjusting the mixture ratio of outdoor air and water gas through the control of inflow of outdoor air and adjusting the volume of mixture gas supplied to the internal combustion engine in accordance with the condition of the internal combustion engine. A watergas supply apparatus for an internal combustion engine, includes a watergas generating unit(110), a pump(120), a storage tank(130), an anti-backfire valve(140), a solenoid valve(150), a pressure reducing unit(160), an air mixer(170), and an internal combustion engine(200). The watergas generating unit generates watergas of a mixture of oxygen and hydrogen from an electrolytic analysis of electrolyte. The pump delivers water gas generated from the watergas generating unit in high pressure. The storage tank stores water gas delivered by the pump in high pressure. The anti-backfire valve is arranged in the outlet pipe side of the storage tank so as to prevent flame from advancing in a reverse direction. The solenoid valve selectively opens/shuts supply of watergas from the storage tank. The pressure reducing unit reduces pressure of watergas to the level suitable for the internal combustion engine. The air mixer mixes watergas and outdoor air. The internal combustion engine receives watergas from the air mixer through an intake manifold and explodes the watergas to convert itself into mechanical energy.
