NEW MATERIAL:A 7-iminooxacephem compound expressed by formula I (R represents sulfenyl and halogen atom; R<1> represents mono- or di-valent substituent group at the 3-position of cephalosporin; R<2> represents carboxyl-protecting group; dotted line shows the presence of 3,4-or 3,3'-double bond). EXAMPLE:7alpha-Methoxy-7beta-aminooxacephem compound. USE:A synthetic intermediate for an antibacterial 7alpha-methoxyoxacephalosporin. PREPARATION:A 7-aminooxacephem compound expressed by formula II or salt thereof is reacted with a sulfenylating agent (example; sulfenyl halide, etc.) or a halogenating agent (example; halogen, haloimide, tertiary alkyl hypohalogenite, etc.). |
