PURPOSE:To increase the width of an engine room and the like in a double wishbone type suspension device with a buffer by providing an axial knuckle along a king pin axis through the connecting part with an extending member and that between the knuckle and a lower arm, and including the connecting part with an upper arm toward the crossing direction with a wheel. CONSTITUTION:A knuckle 3, a wheel 1, and an axle 18 are rotated about a king pin axis 11 by steering force inputted to the knuckle 3 at the time of rotation. However, since the knuckle 3 is able to rotate freely because of a bush 10, an extending member 4 does not rotate. Therefore if the wheel 1 moves up and down, only vertical motion is produced at the extending member 4, and relative motion to upper arm 5 only includes oscillation. Thus a ball joint need not be used for connecting the extending member 4 and the upper arm 5, and only a rubber bush 12 is needed instead. Therefore the size of a joint is smaller and the height of a wheel house can be shorter, thereby the width of an engine room can be increased relating above. |
