PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having less tendency for generating a fogging by incorporating a prescribed amount of the silver chloride particle to at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers, and forming a layer having a high silver bromide content at the outermost layer of the titled material, and incorporating a compd. having a prescribed solubility product of said compd. and a specific silver ion into the inner part of the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The particle having the high silver chloride content of 80-99.5mol% silver chloride is incorporated to at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers. The silver halide layer having the high silver bromide content (>=70mol%) is formed at the outermost layer of the titled material. And, the compd. having <=1X10<-10> the solubility product of said compd. and the silver ion is incorporated into the inner part of the silver halide layer contg. the high silver bromide. The compd. is exemplified by for example, a nitrogen contg. heterocyclic compd. such as 6-amino-imidazo(4,5-d)pyrimidine, etc. Thus, the titled material having less tendency for generating the fogging, and an excellent pressure resistivity and capability of rapidly processing is obtd. |
