PURPOSE:To prevent a label paper from being exfoliated, by providing a controlling means for retracting the label paper from a platen by reversely rotating a paper- feeding motor after printing, and thereby returning the label paper wrapped around the platen to a position where a bent part of a paper-feeding route is not present. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition where a label paper 7 is wrapped around a cylindrical platen 3, an operator cuts the label paper 7 with a cutter 9, and returns the cutter 9 to an initial position thereof, upon which a cutting sensor 10 detects the completion of cutting. A controlling part 5 is informed of the sense information, which starts an operation for reversely rotating a paper-feeding motor. In this case, the label paper 7 is moved in the direction of an arrow (c). A sensor 8 is located at a position at which sprocket holes of the label paper 7 are not disengaged from pins of a paper- feeding tractor 4, and the controlling part 5 stops the rotation of the paper-feeding motor 11 when the leading end (a) of the label paper 7 is passed through the position of the sensor 8 and the sensor 8 detects the absence of the label paper. At this moment, the leading end of the label paper 7 is located at (b), and the label paper is already retracted from the vicinity of the platen 3 having a severely curved shape. Thus, the babel paper is prevented from remaining wrapped around the cylindrical platen. |
