PURPOSE:To make the start, operation, and stop of a system smooth quick, and safe by heating a fuel reformer and fuel cell by starting operation to stabilize performance, stopping supplying flamable liquid to a power generating system by stopping operation, and shutting off the current outputted from the fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:When a power generating system is operated, by starting operation, a fuel reformer 1 and a fuel cell 15 are heated to stabilize the performance, then reforming raw material is supplied to the reformer and the air is supplied to the fuel cell, and the output current of the fuel cell is gradually increased to a steady current value corresponding to the load of the system, and the temperature of the reformer and that of the fuel cell are controlled in a specified value to operate the system in a steady condition. When the system is stopped, by stopping operation, the supply of flamable liquid 5 to the system is stopped and the output current form the fuel cell is shutted off, then the flamavle gas is exhasted and the fuel cell is cooled and the system is stopped. Thereby, the start, operation, and stop of the fuel cell power generating system can be performed smoothly, quickly, and safely. |
