PURPOSE:To enable marked suppression of the lowering in a developed color density at the time of color development where the title paper is preserved in a dry condition, by incorporating a compound of a specified general formula into a thermal color forming recording layer comprising a color precursor and a color developer as main constituents. CONSTITUTION:At least one compound of formula I, wherein R is hydrogen, a 1-4C lower alkyl, benzoyl or aralkyl, is incorporated in a thermal recording paper having a thermal recording layer comprising a color precursor, a color developer and, optionally, a sensitizer. The compound of formula I functions to prevent the lowering in a developed color density at the time of color development where the thermal recording paper is preserved in a dry condition, and in some case, it may function to darken the tone of the color developed. The compound of formula I is used in an amount of about 3-30pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the color developer. |
