PURPOSE:To expand a condenser vapour-phase region by providing a valve mechanism for suppressing a liquid-phase refrigerant flow from a reservoir tank to a condenser, in a passage forming communication between the condenser bottom and the reservoir tank, in an evaporative cooling system. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant vapour produced in a water jacket 2 is led to the upper tank 13 of a condenser 3 and cooled by the condenser 3, and a condensed liquid-phase refrigerant is temporarily reserved in a lower tank 15. The lower tank 15 and a reservoir tank 21 are connected together via the first refrigerant passage 23 having a non-return valve 26 permitting a flow to the reservoir tank 21 and the second refrigerant passage 24 having an ever- open type solenoid valve 27. The liquid-phase refrigerant in the reservoir tank 21 is returned to the water jacket 2 by a refrigerant supply pump 4. The solenoid valve 27 will be closed by a control device 29 when a refrigerant temperature in the water jacket 2 becomes above a given temperature based on a detected value in the first water temperature sensor 12. |
