<p>The feed includes protein carbohydrate and trace elements such as vitamins and minerals. It is produced in grain form and includes constituents to stabilise it, provide consistency and a binder. The form is maintained in the rumen for at least an hour esp. 1-4 hours to stimulate the rumen to work. The binder comprises e.g. colophony and opt. a physiologically acceptable inorganic salt e.g. sulphate. The main component is straw, sawdust etc. (Provisional Basic previously advised in Week 8502)</p> |
