A fitting section (21) of a terminal (20) has a reverse U shape along the outer surface and upper surface of a housing side wall and along the inner part of a reception groove (16). An elastic arm (22) of the terminal is bent and extended from the fitting section to form a U shape, and the bend reaches, in the direction of fitting of a connector, a bottom (14B) of the reception groove. The elastic arm upwardly extends in the reception groove from the bend. The elastic arm is flexible, has elasticity between the bend and a free end, and has a contact section (22A) slightly projecting from one inner surface (14C) of a fitting recess. A fitting recess (14) has a space between the one inner surface and the other inner surface facing the one inner surface, and a fitting/contact section of a mating connector enters in the space. The fitting/contact section of the mating connector presses the contact section (22A) toward the inside of a reception groove (16), and the forward end, in the direction of fitting the connector, of the fitting/contact section enters toward the bottom of the fitting recess, up to substantially the same position as the bend of the terminal.
