The present invention is in the field of beds which can be used for the treatment of certain spinal problems and its subject is a bed support. A rigid bed support of the invention comprising a frame formed of two longitudinal members, of two end crossmembers, and of intermediate crossmembers, is characterised in that the said intermediate crossmembers 3 are arranged in vertical planes which are substantially perpendicular to the vertical planes of the said longitudinal members 2, and in that a substantially rectangular sheet 4 is fixed at, and rests on, the upper edge of the elements 2, 3 of the frame.
