PURPOSE:To maintain copies sharp even after long-term uses by using a silicone rubber containing a low molecular weight siloxane having a vapor pressure of >=100mmHg at 200 deg.C in an amount of >=0.2wt%. CONSTITUTION:The fixing roll made of the silicone rubber containing the low molecular weight silicone rubber having a vapor pressure of >=100mmHg at 200 deg.C in an amount of >=0.2wt% is obtained by using an organopolysiloxane lowered in the content of the low molecular weight siloxane, adding a filler, a cross-linking agent, and the like to form a silicone rubber composition, and hardening it. This fixing roller contains the lower molecular weight siloxane to be volatilized by heating in a small amount, thus permitting stains not to be accumulated on the mirror parts, the lens parts, the high voltage generating device, and the like of a copying machine, and always sharp images to be obtained. |
