The acoustic vibration device comprises a vibration head (3), which is intended for placing on the desired location of a human body, protrudes laterally from the free end of a handle and can be made to vibrate in the audio frequency range by means of a vibrating or lifting magnet (3'). To generate a vibrating motion oscillating in a predetermined frequency range at the vibration head (3), the vibrating or lifting magnet (3') is connected via amplifier means (10) to the output of a voltage-controlled oscillator (20) of a closed-loop control circuit arrangement, the voltage control of which takes place by means of a hand-operable voltage controller (22). By these measures it is now possible to operate in a variable frequency range of a relatively great extent in order to be effective to a greater depth and, in particular, to make tissue fatigue effects during treatment impossible to the greatest extent. <IMAGE>
