ADJUSTING DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR FOR LOCKING MOTOR VEHICLE DOORS

An adjusting device for the door locking installation of motor vehicles prevents by means of a mechanical braking device any over-running of the motor after it is disconnected. By means of this braking device, the adjusting power of the motor is also checked before an adjusting process is initiated to ascertain whether it is strong enough to actuate the driven element. A coupling in the power transmission path is furthermore obtained by means of an axially steerable crank bolt. All these measures improve the working safety and functioning of the adjusting device.
