Magazine for self-loading firearm - is so shaped that cartridges are correctly aligned as they are ejected from magazine
摘要
The self-loading firearm magazine (3) holds a number of flanged cartridges. The magazine has an end wall of V-shaped cross-section with an included angle of 90 deg. The cartridges are stacked one upon another inside the magazine with the axes of adjacent cartridges aligned at 90 deg. to each other. The flange of one cartridge abuts against one side of the V-shape, whilst the adjacent cartridge abuts against the other side of the V-shape. At the upper end of the magazine the included angle increases gradually to 180 deg. so that each cartridge is rotated through 45 deg. as it is pushed upwards by a spring (6) to the magazine outlet (8). ADVANTAGE - Reduced jamming.
