PURPOSE:To diagnose a floppy disk device only with a diagnosing diskette by loading a diagnosing program from the diskette to a memory in a computer and executing a track test with this. CONSTITUTION:A track used for a verifying test is removed from the film control mechanism of a computer 16, and for the diagnosing of a floppy disk device FDD 7, the track is used. The file control of a system is not operated concerning the area to execute a track test, and excluding the area, the diskette to accommodate the diagnosing program is prepared. The diagnosing program is loaded from the diskette to a main memory (RAM/ROM) 2 is the computer, and with the same diskette, a track test is executed in accordance with the diagnosing program. Thus, by one diskette, the test can be executed without destructing the diagnosing program. |
