DAMPENER FOR DAMPENING SHOCKS AND VIBRATIONS BETWEEN A SKI AND THE SHOE BINDING

The device comprises between the ski (1) and the binding (2) at least one dampening pad (6) which is partially arranged within a housing (4, 5) which is undercut with respect to the highest part (3, 7) of the ski (1) and which projects beyond said part (7) when at rest. Thereby, it is possible to improve the comfort of the skier and the conduit of the skis without raising the height of the binding (2) with respect to the ski (1) by using natural undercuts (4, 5) obtained during the fabrication of the ski (1) or by providing said undercuts in the cross-section of the ski (1) instead of building up the pads (6) on the upper face of the ski (1). The pads (6) are conveniently made of visco-elastic material.
