PURPOSE:To make light distributions of emission dot trains uniform by moving regularly installation-locations of longitudinal emission dots adjacent mutually to related locations where unevenness of the light distributions can be compensated for at a LED array chip having numerous emission dots. CONSTITUTION:In view of characteristics of emission dots 2 applied to a LED array chip, its emission intensity comes to a maximun at portions 2a of electrode sides 3. If only installation-locations of longitudinal emission dots adjacent mutually 2, 2 ... are shifted alternately on right and left against a center line A-A' and the emission dots 2, 2 ... are arranged along the length direction of a base substrate 1 of the chip, the portions 2a of the electrode sides 3 where the emission intensity of respective emission dots comes to the maximun can agree with the center line A-A'. As a result, light distributions at an irradiation part in the form of a band consisting of a plurality of the emission dots 2, 2 ... located dong the center line A-A' become uniform. Then, no discrepancies of the emission distributions among respective dots are developed and accordingly the uniform light distributions can eliminate dislocation of printing letters. |
