An infant bath tub (10) comprises separate reclining and seating sections. The reclining section (12) comprises one end wall (22) at a reclining angle to support a newborn infant in a reclining position and at the bottom a portion (34) extending angularly upwardly away from end wall (22) to support the buttocks and thighs of the newborn. The seating section (14) comprises the other end wall (24) at an erect angle to support the back of the older infant in a sitting position and at the bottom a horizontally extending portion (36) to support the buttocks of the sitting infant and extending therefrom an angularly upwardly extending portion (38) to support the thighs. The angularly inclined portions (34 and 38) join at an apex (40) below the upper edges (28) of the end and side walls forming a divider between the reclining and seating sections. Channels extend along the sides past the divider. The tub is provided with support legs (54,56 and 58,60) so that it can be self-supporting and two sets of downwardly facing support surfaces (29 with 50 and 52) and (62,64 with 66,68) spaced to support the tub in sinks of different sizes. <IMAGE> |
