PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized color scanner with high-operability by reading highly precisely the original of a colored picture or the like by transmission or reflection and combining the rotation of a cylindrical filter with a linear solid- state image sensor to obtain various features. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light source 21 provided in a stage 1 is focused as a transmitted light 22 of an original 23 onto a one-dimensional solid-state image sensor 26, which is arranged orthogonally to the linear moving direction of the stage 1, by an optical lens 24. The transmitted light 22 passes a cylindrical filter 25 which can store the image sensor 26 internally and has a filter group, which decomposes the color picture into primary colors, combined into a cylindrical shape and is attached to a motor 27 rotated uniformly by a control circuit 28 and an encoder 29. R, G, and B filters are divided equally and are combined into a cylindrical shape. The relation between the rotation timing of the cylindrical filter 25 and the timing of the photoelectric conversion cycle of the one-dimensional image sensor 26 is set to a certain value. Thus, the color picture read in, for example, a cycle Rn is converted photoelectrically by the image sensor 26 and is read out as DRn in the cycle following the cycle Rn. |
