PURPOSE:To obtain modified aluminosilicate consisting of fine particles with high surface activity by mixing aluminosilicate with desalted sea water as mother liquor, adjusting the equilibrium pH of the resulting slurry, and carrying out solid-liq. separation. CONSTITUTION:Aluminosilicate represented by a general formula (1.0+ or -0.2) M2/mO.Al2O3.xSiO2.yH2O (where M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal, m is the valence of M, x is 1.5-10, and y is 0-10) is mixed with desalted sea water as mother liquor. The equilibrium pH of the resulting slurry or a slurry prepd. by separating solid matter from said slurry and dispering it in water again is adjusted to <=10.5, and solid-liq. separaion is carried out to obtain modified aluminosilicate having minerals deposited from sea water. This aluminosilicate can be widely applied to the fields of pharmaceuticals, food additives, feed additives, cosmetics, etc. |
