The hydromechanical drive consists of three main parts: hydraulic drive cylinders (2), a regulator and a gear box (6). In applying the drive cylinders (2) and the regulator these are showing a completely new principle deviating of all consisting drive systems. The principle of the drive is based on the controlling of the pressure which is built up by means of hydraulic cylinders. This controlling takes place by means of a hydraulic regulator. By means of a hydraulic pump with pressure regulator, always one of the two double acting cylinders is held at a constant pressure and the piston with rod present in it is pressed forwardly. When this is at the end of its run, one permits the second cylinder, taking over the pressure, to do the same. The piston assemblies are connected with racks (3) cooperating with cog wheels (4) which are driving a shaft (5) via ratching systems, characterized in that the speed control device (7) is formed by a set of two undulated wheels (8) coupled to the shaft via gear wheels, said undulated wheels (8) cooperating with rolls and pistons are taking care for flowing to and fro an amount of liquid between both cylinders (9), in which the flow velocity and by this the velocity of the system can be adjusted by means of a control valve. Between the shaft driven in this way and the set of undulated wheels a gear-transmission (6) is functioning by means of a gear box provided with a number of speed-stages.
|
