The screen which is produced by electroforming and is intended for centrifuges having a drum in the shape of a truncated cone, in particular sugar centrifuges, consists of single-component segments (1) which are divided up into narrow zones (2 to 4) which extend to the wide end and each have an identical arrangement of holes. From the narrow end of the segment, a lower section (6) with a smaller free screen surface than in the rest of the area (8) extends approximately over one quarter of the height of the segment. Here, longitudinal slots (5a and 5b) which each extend parallel to the longitudinal centre lines (2a to 4a) of the zones are arranged in all the said zones, which longitudinal slots (5a and 5b) are spaced further apart in the lower section than in the other area. Between the lower section and the other area, a wave-shaped, non-perforated strip-shaped transition zone (7) is provided (Figs. 1 and 2). <IMAGE> |
