PURPOSE:To improve watertightness in a back slit portion of a tube by providing a back plate on the lower side of the back slit portion and shrinking the tube by heating. CONSTITUTION:Before the tube is shrunk thermally, the back slit portion 2 of a back slit type thermally shrinkable tube 1 for connecting a cable sheath is fitted with a back plate 3 through tape wrapping 4 and then shrunk by heating from the outside. In this case, since the portion fitted with the back plate 3 becomes smoother than the cable core portion 5 and can be corrected, the entire length of the back slit portion of the thermally shrinkable tube 1 is put in uniform shrinkage to secure the watertightness of the back slit portion. |
