PURPOSE:To improve traveling feeling and traveling stability by providing, on a speed limiting device for a vehicle such as a motorcycle, a means for allowing an engine to effect an optimum output when the vehicle travels at a speed less than a limited speed. CONSTITUTION:A condenser charging type ignition circuit C is provided on a speed limiting device for a vehicle, which is equipped with a speed detecting means A issuing a detection signal when a car speed rises over a prescribed speed, a circuit changing- over means B operated by this detection signal of the speed detecting means A, the first angular retardation control circuit C1 for allowing ignition timing to be delayed corresponding to the increase of the number of revolutions from the set number of engine revolutions or more to make the angular retardation approximately constant, and the second angular retardation control circuit C2 for allowing the ignition timing to be delayed corresponding to the increase of the number of revolutions from the set number of engine revolutions or more. And, when the car speed rises over a prescribed speed, the circuit is changed over from the circuit C1 to the circuit C2 by the circuit changing-over means B. Accordingly, traveling feeling can be improved since it is possible to control the car speed as well as for engine to effect its optimum output during its traveling under said prescribed speed. |
