BUILDUP METHOD

PURPOSE:To improve the quantitativeness of a buildup powder and the yield by feeding the buildup powder to a transportation pipe by a quantitative feeding mechanism and feeding it by chuting into the laser light projected to a buildup part from the lower end opening part of the transportation pipe. CONSTITUTION:An engine valve 1 is rotated by a motor 4 and the laser light 3 in the prescribed beam shape is projected on a laser light irradiation part 2a by a laser light projection means 6. A purge gas is introduced into the upper part space of a feeding hopper 8 from an introduction port 8a and a gear 9 is rotated, then a buildup powder 7 is continuously fed into the transportation pipe 11 with the feeding amount being constantly controlled by the gear 9. The fed-in powder 7 falls with gravity inside the transportation pipe 11, the speed is reduced by colliding with a buffer plate 12a at the lower end opening part 11b and the power 7 falls with gravity to a face part 2. It is rapidly melted by the laser light 3 at this fall course and the buildup layer is formed on the face part 2.
