The equipment has a frame (7) supporting line guides (12-14) for formation of at least one endless line coil. A free part of the line between two guides is gripped manually, and one part of the endless line works in conjunction with a one-way coupling (18) in drivable connection with a cable drum (5). The frame is mounted on the back of an operator, and has parts which project forwards above and below arm height supporting line guides, e.g. in the form of trundles (14), the part (8) for manual grip being located between them. The rotatable cable drum is located in backwardly projecting parts of the frame, with the lines running in a triangular formation over the guides. The cable drum (5) core dia., the pulley dia. of the one-way coupling (18), and the line length between the guides (12-14) are related so that the max. straight-line movement possible, when the operator winds a line inwards, permits a cable length to be wound on to the empty drum (5) corresp. to the step length of the operator. |
