<p>A double solonoid valve (10, 16) especially for anti-lock braking applications has a normally open conduit (12-15) for involving a first port (2) and housed in series with a normally closed conduit (15, 14, 18, 4) between second (3) and third (4) ports. A fast one-way path (19, 37) joins the first and second ports. A slow two-way path (15) always involves the second port. The double valve when used in ABS can handle incipient locking, actual locking, quick releasing to normal after emergency anti-lock action, and purge modes.</p> |
