An opening and closing structure and a multimedia device using the same are provided to open/close a folder by a one-touch method by adding a sliding function to a folder type opening/closing structure. A third member(3) is connected to a hinge rotation shaft hinge-rotating in a circular first gear member(6). The circular first gear member is located in a first portion(7a) of a second gear guide member(7). A saw blade(6a) is formed at a predetermined portion of a circumference in the first gear member. The other portion of the first gear member is smoothly curved. The saw tooth unit(7c) is engaged with the saw blade of the first gear member. First and second portions(7a,7b) are symmetric half circular spaces. The saw tooth unit is between the first and second portions.
