PURPOSE:To obtain the titled paint having high suitability to solder plating and favorable electrical characteristic and undergoing no deterioration due to solder by specifying a composition consisting of silver powder or noble metallic powder prepd. by adding palladium powder to silver powder, acid-proof glass powder, and an org. vehicle. CONSTITUTION:This electrically conductive paint for a base for plating consists of, by weight, 50-80% silver powder or noble metallic powder contg. palladium powder by 1-10% of the amount of silver powder, 1-5% acid-proof glass powder having 600-900 deg.C m.p., and 15-49% org. vehicle. The paint is proof against a strongly acidic electroplating soln. such as a copper sulfate-sulfuric acid bath for copper plating or a solder plating soln. contg. lead alkanol-sulfonate and tin alkanolsulfonate, and it has favorable electrical characteristics required by a magnetic capacitor, especially satisfactory tandelta, Q and IR values. The preferred average particle size of the acid-proof glass powder is <=1mum, and the glass powder contains preferably 10-30% TiO2 and 30-50% SiO2 as principal components.
