PURPOSE:To permit a polymer sheet to be manufactured stably at a high speed, by employing a fine metallic wire having a flat section as an electrode member for impressing static electricity on a sheet-type extruded form. CONSTITUTION:Molten thermoplastic polymer is extruded in the shape of a sheet through a slit type orifice 1 and the sheet type extruded form 2 is contacted with a cooling roller 3 and is cooled quickly to solidify and obtain a sheet 2, then, the sheet 2 is sent continuously to an after provessing process through a separating roller 44. The cooling roller 3 is grounded by an earth wire while a possitive voltage is impressed from a high voltage power source 7 on a linear electrode 6 provided on a surface not contacting with the cooling roller 3 of the sheet-type extruded form 2 between the orifice 1 and the cooling roller 3, whereby static electricity is impressed on the sheet type extruded form 2. A flat linear electrode 6, having an elliptic section and the ratio of the minor diameter to the major diameter of 1:3-1:30 or having a rectangular section and the ratio of the radius of the inscribed circle to the radius of the circumscribed circle of 1:3-1:30, is employed as the member of an electrode which impresses the static electricity on the sheet type extruded form 2. According to this method, an electrostatic attracting-force, impressed on the sheet-type extruded form, is increased, therefore, adhesive properties between the cooling roller may be improved. |
