PURPOSE:To promptly further efficiently exchange a claw, by providing a claw holding hole in a master jaw and eliminating any necessity for mounting and removing a bolt or the like every time the claw is exchanged. CONSTITUTION:A claw holding hole 11b is provided in a master jaw 11, while a claw 15 is removably provided in the hole 11b through a shank part 15a in the direction parallel to the axial center 3a of a main spindle. A means such as a pusher 7, which releases an engagement holding means 12 of the claw 15, is provided in the periphery of the main unit 5. The claw 15 can be immediately mounted to or removed from a chuck device 1 by only driving the means 7 to insert or extract each claw 15 in the direction parallel to the axial center, thus any necessity for the work mounting or removing a bolt for each claw is eliminated. |
