PURPOSE:To reduce the time required from setting of a transmission line to the end of transmission/recording of facsimile by performing frequently the request of picture data transmission to a processing device when the compressing rate of the picture data is high. CONSTITUTION:An inputted original is digitized by a photoelectric converter 1 and written in a storage circuit 3 via a coder 2. When a transmission request 14a with a count value of a counter 14 reaching a prescribed value is given to the operating processing device 5, after framing information is formed, the device 5 reads a coded data of the storage circuit 3 through a read line group 5a, the framing information is transmitted to a line interface circuit 6 through a line control line group 5b and then, the counters 4 and 14 are reset respectively. The circuit 6 forms a frame from the coded data received from the storage circuit 3 and the framing information received from the device 5 and transmits the frame to a transmission line 7. |
