PURPOSE:: To enable the continuous casting at high velocity and for long period by arranging one pair of molten metal supplying troughs on both belts at upper part of vertical mold and also arranging electromagnet for flowing velocity control for the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:: The molten metal supplying trough 28 is arranged respectively in the molten metal flowing passage 27 at the upper part of vertical mold 26 and further, dam blocks 29 running as synchronizing with the belt 24 are arranged at the both sides of the belt 24. And, the electromagnet 30 having the size traversing the belt 24 is arranged at the upper side of passage 27 for the molten metal. At the time of supplying the molten metal from the molten metal supplying trough 28, it is flowed down on ths passage 27. Then, by adjusting the electromagnetic force of electromagnet 30, the flowing velocity of molten metal is synchronized with the shifting velocity of belt 24. In this way. as the molten metal is poured, so as not to shift relatively with the belt 24 and the dam block 29, the uniform solidified shell is developed. Therefore, the continuous casting for long period aud at high velocity is executed without causing any defect. |
