PURPOSE:To obtain an optical fiber having excellent heat resistance, adhesiveness and chemical resistance by using a compsn. prepd. by incorporating a photopolymn. initiator into a monomer consisting of prescribed two components as the cladding component of the optical fiber consisting of a core-cladding and polymerizing the same by light projection. CONSTITUTION:The constituting component of the optical fiber formed of the core-cladding is formed of the monomers expressed by formulas I and II. In formula I, Rf denotes a fluoroalkyl group, and formula I is a fluoroalkyl acrylate monomer. Formula II is a crosslinkable monomer. In formula, m is >=2 integer, k and n are 1 or 2. Formula II is a photopolymerizable resin compsn. consisting of a bifunctional fluoroalkyl acrylate monomer and photopolymn. initiator. The compsn. expressed by formula I is coated on the surface of the core and the compsn. expressed by formula II is coated thereon, then the compsns. are polymerized by the light projection. |
