SURFACE HARDENING METHOD AFTER ELECTROLESS COMPOSITE NICKEL PLATING

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain an accurately hardened member by forming a composite Ni layer on the surface of a member by electroless composite Ni plating and by projecting laser light on the prescribed part of the layer. CONSTITUTION:A composite Ni layer 2 is formed on the surface of a member 1 by electroless composite Ni plating, and laser light 3 is projected on the prescribed part 4 of the layer 2 to harden only the part 4. Thus, an accurately hardened member is obtd. Even a large-sized member can be similarly hardened and the hardening range can be freely specified.
