A portable grill device comprises a firebox which has a hexagonal plan form and six side walls and is made of sheet steel and of even height and is provided with at least three detachable legs, a vertically adjustable cooking grid and a pot-holder that pivots on a vertical axis. In the corners of each of the side walls inwardly bent lug sheets are arranged together which with the corner sections of the side walls form connector lugs open at the top and bottom and having a rhombic cross section. Into these connector lugs, rhombic connecting pegs of the legs can be inserted form-fittingly from the bottom side of the firebox, and from the top, either connecting pegs of wind-guard walls or additional legs can be inserted to form a girder-like kettle or grid hanging device, or pot-holders. Each of the legs comprise metal tubes at one end have a connecting peg with rhombic cross-section, bent by 30 DEG . The mountable wind-guard walls are joined to each other in a hinge-like manner, with the hinge spindles at the same time forming connecting pegs.
