PURPOSE:To contrive improvement in efficiency of a coil winding work by a method wherein the movement of a tensioner is controlled by rotating a leadscrew within the prescribed range, and the winding width of a wire for the bobbin to be used for the coil is regulated properly. CONSTITUTION:The resistance value of the first variable resistor 29 and the second resistor 30, to be used as a winding width setting device, are set at the values corresponding to the position of the front end or the tailend of the winding width (w) of the bobbin 1 to be used for a coil. Then, the movement range of a tensioner 5 is controlled by rotating the leadscrew 6 of a traverser 7 is forward and reverse directions within the prescribed range of movement, and the winding width (w) of a wire 4 for the bobbin 1 to be used for the coil is also controlled within the prescribed range of movement. Accordingly, even when the winding width (w) of the wire 4 is changed corresponding to the coil bobbin 1 and the like of different size, the resistance value of each resistor is set at the value corresponding to the front end or the tailend of the desired winding width (w) by manipulating the knobs of the first and the second variable resistors 29 and 30. As a result, the operation regulating the winding width (w) of the wire 4 can be performed in a simple, accurate and quick manner, and the working efficiency of coil winding can also be improved. |
