<p>PURPOSE:To enable the desulfurizing reaction and the regenerating reaction at the temp. in a wide range by molding a single-stepped material of a sheet consisting of inorganic fabric into a honeycomb structural base material by winding work or the like and uniformly depositing metallic oxide absorbable for sulfur compd. thereon. CONSTITUTION:After molding a sheet consisting of inorganic fiber into a single- stepped material by corrugating work, a honeycomb structural base material is molded by winding work or laminating work. Then a honeycomb-shaped desulfurizing agent is molded by uniformly depositing metallic oxide absorbable for sulfur compd. on the honeycomb structural base material. In this case, the numerical aperture of the honeycomb structural body is regulated to 50% or more and the amount of metallic oxide absorbable for sulfur compd. to be deposited is preferably regulated to 20-300kg/m<2>. As metallic oxide absorbable for sulfur compd., oxide of iron, zinc, molybdenum, manganese, copper and tungsten, etc., is used.</p> |
