PURPOSE:To surely drain a strip with a compact device by sucking and removing water on the surface of the strip through perforated concentric outer ring rolls by use of a strong sucking force generated in a fixed shaft having a negative pressure sucking hollow hole. CONSTITUTION:The axis of fixed shafts 1 extends in the width direction of a strip 7, the shafts 1 are provided with a sucking hollow hole 2 extending in the axial direction and a slot communicating with the hole 2 and opening to the side contacting with the strip 7. The shafts 1 are also provided with an concentric outer ring roll 5 on the periphery of the shafts 1 to hold the top and bottom surfaces of the strip 7. Many through holes 1a are bored in the entire of a necessary surface of the rolls 5. When the holes 2 are brought to be a negative pressure by sucking, water, etc. on the surface of the strip 7 are sucked into a sucking device through holes 1a, slots, holes 2, and hoses 10. |
