A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FOR COMPOUNDS CONTAINING INDOLES

Compounds containing indole were prepared by gas-phase catalytic reaction of N-(β -hydroxy)alkyl aniline (I) under superatmospheric pressure. Reactor is a stainless cylinderic column, 20mmid, consisted of 400cc pellet-type catalyst of purified cadmium sulfide and connected to evaporator, which consists of three input line, one for N-(β -hydroxy)alkylaniline and aniline, one for water and one for hydrogen gas. Flow rate of each input line is 80g/hr for mixture, 20g/hr for water at 340≦̸ and 50 l/hr for hydrogen gas.
