A pharmaceutical composition for regulating prostaglandins or metabolites thereof comprises (a) a derivative of aminobenzoic acid, represented by the general formula: wherein R<1> represents a residual group formed by the removal of -OH from the 1 (alpha)- or (1 beta)- position of arabinose, xylose, rhamnose, glucose, galactose, mannose or fructose, and R<2> represents hydrogen, alkyl of one to four carbon atoms or a pharmaceutically acceptable metal, and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
