PURPOSE:To contrive reduction of noise, by a method wherein a blow-off port of a both suction type centrifugal fan whose rotating shaft has been made vertical is provided on the back of an air conditioner and a long and short side parts of an L-shaped outdoor heat exchanger are arranged respectively on the back and the side, in the air conditioner which is monolithic and making suction and discharge of air by only the back. CONSTITUTION:Air passes through an opening part 6a of the back 6 of a cabinet and an outdoor side heat exchanger 10 by a centrifugal fan 1, sucked into the centrifugal fan 1 from air guiders 4b, 4b and discharged through a blow-off port 5. With this construction, an air velocity distribution is unified at a blow-off port 5, through which the area of the blow-off port 5 can be made samll and a fan diameter can be enlarged. Then as the outdoor heat exchanger 10 is made into an L shape and a long and short side parts 11, 12 are kept arranged by making them face respectively on the back 6 and the side of an air conditioner, an area of the front can be made large and the reduction of depth for securing a necessary quantity of heat exchange can be performed. With this construction, a noise reduction can be performed through a reduction of ventilation resistance and decline of the number of revolutions. |
